Independence Day : Pre-Primary

Independence Day Celebrations by St. Xavier’s Pre-Primary
This year the students of UKG & LKG celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm. The function began by welcoming our Supervisor Mrs. Cabral, parents, and students. This was followed by an opening prayer. It was time to showcase the talents of our students who were dressed up as great freedom fighters like Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, Bhagat Singh, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Subhash Chandra Bose, and Sardar Vallabhai Patel, they spoke a few lines about the leaders they were dressed up as. We also had a few dances performed by our students on patriotic songs
which was applauded by all present there. The function came to an end with a vote of thanks and our national anthem. The celebrations continued in our respective classes, as the children created the tri colour flag with a craft activity and the LKG students coloured the different national symbols like the peacock, tiger, lotus and of course our flag. The children were also given a sweet and a small tri coloured badge on this happy occasion. It is very important to remind ourselves of the sacrifices made by our great leaders and our soldiers , so that we enjoy our freedom today.
