MAHARASHTRA DAY CELEBRATION
Maharashtra Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour in St. Vincent’s High School on 1st May, 2026. The programme was organized to commemorate the formation of the state of Maharashtra and to create an awareness among students, about its rich history and traditions. The celebration began with a special assembly which included the flag hoisting ceremony and the National Anthem, played by the school band. There were informative speeches, prayers and traditional Powada highlighting ,the rich heritage of Maharashtra and the formation of the state in 1960. Some students also dressed in traditional Maharashtrian attire, added colour and authenticity to the programme. The Principal addressed the students and emphasized the importance of preserving the language, culture, and unity of Maharashtra while working towards the development of society. The celebration concluded, leaving everyone with a sense of pride and respect for the state and the nation.
