Graduation Day : Pre-Primary School

Graduation Day at The St. Xavier’s Pre-Primary School

Graduation Day, a big day for the students of our UKG who have now moved on to Std 1 in the Primary school. The management, staff, students and parents at St. Xavier’s Pre-Primary School, celebrated this milestone on 8th April 2024 in a grand way at The Gulati Hall. This was indeed an exciting day not only for our boys but parents too as it marked a new beginning to their school life. All the boys looked smart and proud, wearing their pre-primary uniform for the very last time, along with their special Graduation Day sashes. The celebration began with a welcome speech by our student Abbas Chherawalla followed by a prayer by Aayush. There were two special songs prepared for this celebration by our students. The prayer song, “Everything I am” was introduced to all by Shreeyansh. This song was selected to remind our children to be thankful for everything they have. After the prayer song, we invited our Principal Fr. Francis Patekar to address our parents present there. This was followed by another special performance by our students. The Graduation Song, “First Grade First Grade” was introduced by Ranveer. This song highlighted how the students were grateful for everything they had learned in the Pre-primary and how they looked forward to learning so much more in Primary School. Both the performances by the students were outstanding and received an overwhelming applause by everyone present at the event.  We had surprise waiting and that was a special performance by all the pre-primary teachers, who sang a song titled, “We love you dear children”, dedicated to all our  wonderful students. This performance was indeed appreciated by all the parents. We also had another surprise but this time it was for the teachers and the non-teaching staff. The parents of UKG felicitated all the teachers and staff. Mr.Abbid Bagwan gave a warm and a heart touching speech followed by felicitation of all the teachers and staff with a beautiful memento. Graduation Day was indeed a bittersweet celebration for teachers as well, as we bid farewell to our UKG batch, wishing them love and luck for their bright future ahead. The celebration ended with a vote of thanks by our student Mustafa Shaikh, who expressed gratitude on behalf of the entire UKG batch for all the love and care given by the teaching and non-teaching staff to the students during their time in the pre-primary. This was a day full of fond memories of the past and anticipation for the bright future ahead.

GRADUATION DAY SPEECH – 8/4/2024 – UKG – 2023- 2024
“A Very Good morning to each and every one present here, I have the honour to speak on behalf of all the parents here today, and to represent some of our thoughts and reflections on the happy occasion of seeing our son’s graduate today. So what makes St. Xavier’s and St. Vincent’s special? A great many things of course, but for me the stand-out aspect is Diversity. A culture that values and cultivates Diversity. Diversity of interests. This school offers a myriad of activities and opportunities that the students enthusiastically embrace. A balance between academic excellence, and the pursuit of diverse cultural and social activities. A tricky balancing act for a selective school, and something St. Vincent’s and St. Xavier’s work hard to get right. As a token of appreciation we would like to address the teacher’s with gratitude, expressing appreciation for their dedication, guidance, and support throughout our boy’s academic journey. Thank you so much for your tireless dedication and unwavering support. You’ve played a pivotal role in shaping our child’s future, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you’ve done. Your passion for teaching and commitment to excellence have truly made a difference in our children’s life, and we couldn’t be more thankful. Today, as we celebrate this milestone, we want to express our heartfelt appreciation for all that you’ve done. Thank you for being an exceptional teacher and for making a lasting impact on our children’s education.”
