Graduation Day at The St. Xavier’s Pre-Primary School
Graduation Day, a big day for the students of our UKG who have now moved on to Class 1 in Primary school. The management, staff, students and parents at St. Xavier’s Pre-Primary School, celebrated this milestone on 6 th April 2023 in a grand way at The Gulati Hall. This was indeed an exciting day for our UKG boys as it marked a new beginning, adding fresh dimensions to their school life as they graduated to Primary school. All the boys looked handsome and proud, wearing their pre-primary uniform for the very last time, along with their special Graduation Day sashes.
The celebration began with an introduction to the event by our student Rudra Fernandes followed by a word of prayer by Ayansh Katare. There were two special songs prepared for this Graduation
Day celebration by our student choir of Class UKG. The prayer song, “This Little Light of Mine” was introduced to the audience by John Rodricks. This song was selected to remind our little students that they were the little sparks of today who would become the bright flames of tomorrow. They will spread their light wherever they go. After the opening prayer song, we had a poetry recital by Ishaan Kalke. His poem was titled, “ Here I Come” and it spoke about how much he’s learned in kindergarten and how he’s ready to take on Class 1. Following this was another special performance by our student choir. The Graduation Song, “One Year Older” was introduced by Suryansh Japtap. This song highlighted how the students were thankful for everything they had learned in the Pre-primary and how they looked forward to learning so much more in Primary School. Both the performances by the student choir were simply outstanding and received overwhelming appreciation by everyone present at the event. Last, but not the least, there was a special performance by all the pre-primary teachers, who sang a song titled, “We love you dear children”, dedicated to all our wonderful students. Graduation Day was indeed a bittersweet celebration for teachers as well, as we bid farewell to our UKG batch, wishing them love and luck for their bright future ahead. The celebration ended with a vote of thanks by our student Musaib Momin, who expressed gratitude on behalf of the entire UKG batch for all the love and care given by the teaching and non-teaching staff to the students during their time in the pre-primary. This was a day full of warm memories of the past and anticipation for the bright future ahead.
