Annual Sports Day
The 156 th Annual Sports Day at St. Vincent’s High School and Junior College was a resounding success, characterised by spirited participation and memorable moments. The opening ceremony set the tone for the day as we welcomed our esteemed chief guest, Major General Mr. Rasquinha. The flag hoisting and NCC parade salute added a sense of solemnity and pride to the occasion. The sports events unfolded with the enthusiasm of our young athletes showcasing their talents on the track. The vibrant performances of primary students from 3rd and 4th grades in various displays added a charming touch to the day, demonstrating the diverse talents within our school community. Participation was a key highlight, with overwhelming support from students, teachers, and staff creating an atmosphere of true sportsmanship in the stadium. Recognition was duly bestowed upon the winners across different events, with medals awarded by distinguished guests Rev. Fr. Francis Dsouza, Rev.Fr. Raja, Supervisor Mr. Santosh Naik, and our school principal, Rev. Fr. Francis Patekar. Their presence added prestige to the event, acknowledging the hard work and dedication of our budding athletes. The announcing team skillfully involved parents, students, and the audience in the stadium, fostering a healthy and supportive environment for the competing athletes. The event culminated with an inspiring speech by our honorable chief guest, who shared uplifting words with both students and parents, reinforcing the values of sportsmanship and dedication. The closing ceremony featured the annual Sports Day trophy presentation, graced by the hands of our esteemed guest, Mrs. Rasquinha. The sight of our upcoming athletes receiving their trophies with cheerful faces marked a fitting end to a day filled with achievement and camaraderie.
