St. Xavier’s Nursery
Children’s Day Celebration
Every year on 14th November, India celebrates Children’s Day to commemorate the birthday of its first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, lovingly called Chacha Nehru. In keeping with this tradition and taking the opportunity to celebrate the gift of each child, a children’s day programme was put up for the boys of the Nursery on Thursday, 14th November 2024. The nursery was decorated with multi-coloured personalised craft work with the photo of each child. The children came dressed in party wear, and sang and danced to action songs with great enthusiasm. A puppet show that was organised by the teachers, proved to be an entertaining spectacle causing great excitement among the boys. Chocolates were distributed to the boys, adding to their joy.As part of the celebration, a mobile planetarium was set up for the children of the school from Nursery to std. 12th in the Oesch Hall. The Nursery boys enjoyed the beautifully illustrated story, ‘The Puppy on the moon’ as part of the planetarium display. It was indeed a unique and fun learning experience.
