Independence Day 2025 at St. Vincent’s High School and Junior College, Pune
St. Vincent’s High School celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour through a week-long series of activities, culminating in the grand celebration
on 15th August 2025. The school campus was beautifully decorated in the colours of the national flag, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere. In the days leading up to Independence Day, several events were organised to engage students and nurture their talents. The celebrations began with a Prabhat Pheri within the school campus, where students, teachers, and staff walked together singing patriotic songs, filling the air with the spirit of freedom. The Drawing and Chart Making competitions gave students a platform to creatively express their love for the nation, while the Musical Mass PT showcased their discipline, coordination, and energy. Gift distribution also formed part of the week’s activities, bringing joy and excitement to the young learners.
The highlight of the celebration was on 15th August 2025. The morning began with the flag hoisting ceremony conducted by the principal, followed by the singing of the National Anthem, which echoed proudly across the campus. A special assembly was then presented by the students, featuring inspiring speeches, melodious patriotic songs, and heartfelt poems dedicated to the nation and its freedom fighters. A video presentation on India’s journey from independence to the present day added depth to the programme, reminding everyone of the nation’s progress and the responsibilities of being a citizen. The week-long celebrations left the Vincentian family inspired, proud, and united in their love for the country, making the 79th Independence Day a memorable occasion for all.
