Kindergarten’s Green Day

Nurturing Eco – consciousness in young minds.

The Kindergarten section at St. Xavier’s Pre – Primary School recently celebrated a joyous and informative event called “Green Day, ” The aim of this event was to foster environmental awareness among children and instill in them a sense of responsibility. Through engaging activities and interactive sessions the little learners embarked on a journey to understand the significance of environmental conservation and the importance of adopting Eco friendly practices in their daily life. Sowing seeds –  Each child was given the opportunity to sow seeds in the pots a few days back with the guidance of teachers . They were excited to see the small stems grow on them . Children were in green t-shirts and they looked like  green Amazon forest and had green snacks in their tiffins. During the colouring session the kids coloured pictures of capsicum, watermelon, frog, green dinosaur and caterpillar.

The green day celebration was a sounding success. The children not only had fun but also developed a deeper understanding and appreciation for the environment . Such initiative at an early stage is instrumental in shaping a generation of eco – conscious individuals who will contribute to a greener and most sustainable future.
