St. Vincent’s High School celebrated the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola with creativity, reflection, and spiritual depth. To mark the occasion, inter-class poster making and colouring competitions
were held on 16th July 2026, allowing students to creatively express the values of St. Ignatius. A special assembly was held on 30th July 2025 at 8:25 AM, featuring prayers, reflections, the
Generosity Prayer, and a hymn.Prizes were distributed to the winners of the various competitions. The festivities concluded with a solemn Feast Mass on 31st July 2025 at 9:00 AM,  The celebration inspired students and staff to carry forward the spirit of St. Ignatius—with courage, faith, and a heart ready to serve.

A special assembly was conducted at St. Vincent’s High School in honor of St. Ignatius of Loyola. The programme was organized to commemorate his life, values, and contributions, while encouraging students to learn from his teachings.

As part of the celebration, various competitions, including a chart-making competition and other educational activities, were organized for students. The participants displayed great enthusiasm, creativity, and teamwork throughout the event. Their efforts reflected a good understanding of the theme and showcased their artistic and presentation skills.

The assembly concluded with a prize distribution ceremony. The Principal and teachers appreciated the efforts of all the participants and presented prizes to the winners of the competitions. The event inspired students to uphold the values of dedication, discipline, and service exemplified by St. Ignatius of Loyola.

The special assembly was informative, inspiring, and successfully encouraged active participation among the students.

The Science & Mathematics Quiz Competition for Classes IX and X was successfully conducted on 28 July 2026. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who displayed excellent knowledge, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities throughout the competition.

The quiz featured several exciting rounds that tested participants on various topics in science and mathematics. The teams competed with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship, making the event both educational and enjoyable. The audience also remained actively engaged, cheering for the participants and appreciating their efforts.

At the end of the competition, Team A emerged as the winner, while Team D secured the runner-up position. The winners were congratulated and applauded for their outstanding performance. The event concluded with a vote of thanks to the organizers, teachers, and students whose efforts contributed to its smooth and successful execution. Overall, the quiz competition was a grand success and encouraged students to strengthen their interest in science and mathematics.

Samyak Bhandari has achieved an outstanding result in the Pre-Secondary Scholarship Examination (Standard VIII). Through consistent hard work, dedication, and academic excellence, he secured 1st Rank in Pune (General Category) and 261st Rank in Maharashtra.

Samyak scored 77.18% in the examination, demonstrating a strong understanding of the subjects and excellent problem-solving abilities. His remarkable performance reflects his commitment to learning and serves as an inspiration to fellow students.

This achievement is a matter of pride for his family, teachers, and school. It highlights the importance of perseverance, discipline, and regular study in achieving academic success.

Theme: Caring for Our Common Home

Under this academic year’s guiding theme, “Caring for Our Common Home,” our youngest learners in the Pre-Primary section (ages 4–5) took center stage to prove that no hand is too small to make a difference.

The Pre-Primary Cleanliness Drive was designed to instil a sense of responsibility, empathy, and environmental stewardship early on. Rather than viewing cleaning as a chore, the initiative transformed everyday tidying into an engaging, collaborative experience that connected students, teachers, and school support staff. Children and their parents helped create visual charts featuring simple icons—sorting trash into Dry Paper, Food Waste, and Recyclable Materials. Whereas teachers illustrated simple story-driven charts showing a messy classroom turning into a bright, welcoming space through teamwork.

“We don’t just share a classroom; we share a home.  When we take care of our corners, we take care of each other.” 

During the drive, the children put their enthusiasm into practice through age-appropriate, hands-on tasks like cleaning their tables after eating, ensuring they maintain clean nails and come to school well groomed, caring for the plants in and around school, picking bits of paper of the floor to keep the classroom clean, arranging their tables and chairs after using them and lots more.The Pre-Primary Cleanliness Drive was a shining example of how values of care, respect, and responsibility can be nurtured from a very young age. By bridging simple daily habits with our annual theme “Caring for Our Common Home,” our 4- and 5-year-olds showed that when little hands, loving teachers, and dedicated helpers work together, big transformations happen.

The Pre-Primary section turned into a haven of warmth, laughter, and green inspiration as we celebrated Grandparents Day. Welcoming our beloved grandparents—the roots of our family trees—held an even deeper meaning this year under our annual theme, “Caring for Our Common Home.”

The venue was beautifully decorated. The morning began with a heartfelt welcome address expressing deep gratitude for the endless love, wisdom, and nurturing care grandparents shower upon our young learners.Our tiny tots took center stage, looking radiant and eager to sing their hearts out. Their little voices echoed warmth and affection across the hall as they presented two delightful choir songs:

• “You Are My Sunshine” — A timeless favourite that brought tears of joy and bright smiles to every grandparent’s face. The children’s gentle rhythm and synchronized gestures captured the pure warmth grandparents bring into their lives.
• “Happy, Happy Grandparents Day” — An upbeat, cheerful tribute overflowing with energy! The catchy rhythm had the audience clapping along, creating a wonderfully festive ambiance.

The stage came alive as our little performers showcased three distinct dance routines, celebrating both their love for their grandparents and our love for the world around them. To keep our honoured guests engaged, the event featured interactive segments that brought out their youthful spirit:

• Spot Prizes: Quick, light-hearted challenges were announced throughout the event—prizes were awarded for the Grandparent who celebrated their birthday this week, Grandparent with the most number of grandchildren and much more.
• The Lucky Dip:  the ideas was where the Principal, Supervisor’s, Coordinator pulled the name of the lucky grandparent from each division to come forward as a couple and receive their gift.

Later the children presented their grandparents with a small token of love – a magnet to show their never-ending love. The celebration concluded with a heart-touching vote of thanks, honouring the invaluable role grandparents play in building strong values and grounded families. The event wrapped up with refreshments, interactive photo booths, and tight hugs that captured memories to last a lifetime.

The Under-17 Basketball Team of St. Vincent’s School participated in the Kalmadi Invitational Basketball Tournament 2026. The tournament brought together several talented school teams, providing an excellent platform for young athletes to showcase their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. St. Vincent’s displayed outstanding determination and excellent coordination throughout the competition. Their consistent performances and fighting spirit helped them emerge as the champions of the tournament. The team was awarded the winner’s trophy for their remarkable achievement. This victory brought great pride to the school and reflected the hard work, dedication, and commitment of the players and their coach. Congratulations to the entire team!

Inspired by this timeless call to ignite minds and hearts with purpose, St. Vincent’s High School & Junior College, Pune, hosted the inaugural St. Ignatius Memorial District Level English Speech Competition on 24^th July 2026 at 9.30 a.m. in the Gulati Hall. The event brought together talented young speakers from 12 schools across the district, celebrating the art of public speaking and the enduring values of the Jesuit tradition.

Centred on the theme ‘Caring for Our Common Home,’ the competition encouraged participants to reflect on pressing environmental concerns and present thoughtful, solution-oriented perspectives. The speeches showcased confidence, creativity, and a deep sense of social responsibility.

The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by the prayer song, Power of Your Love, setting a reflective and prayerful tone for the occasion. The symbolic watering of plants by the dignitaries beautifully echoed the competition’s theme, ‘Caring for Our Common Home,’ reaffirming the shared responsibility of protecting and nurturing our environment. The audience was then welcomed to the inaugural edition of the competition, which seeks to inspire young people to become articulate, compassionate, and responsible global citizens through the power of the spoken word.

The participants impressed the audience and judges alike with their eloquence, originality, and confident delivery. Their speeches reflected not only exceptional oratorical skills but also a genuine commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable living.

The judges also addressed the gathering, inspiring the young participants with their insightful observations and constructive feedback. They encouraged the budding speakers to continue honing their oratorical skills and shared valuable tips on effective public speaking, emphasising the importance of clarity, conviction, confidence, voice modulation, purposeful body language, and connecting with the audience. Their words served as a source of motivation, inspiring the participants to grow into articulate, persuasive, and impactful orators.

The programme concluded with the prize distribution ceremony, during which Rev. Fr. Titus Thangaraj, SJ, Principal of St. Vincent’s High School & Junior College, congratulated all the participants on their outstanding performances and commended their thoughtful insights. The competition was a resounding success, promoting confidence, critical thinking, and the Ignatian spirit of excellence while reinforcing the shared responsibility of caring for our common home.

Bharat Petroleum, in collaboration with St. Vincent’s School, organized a Public Speaking Competition on the occasion of Swachhata Abhiyan at Gulati Hall. The event aimed to promote awareness about cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental responsibility while encouraging students to develop their public speaking skills.

Students participated enthusiastically and delivered inspiring speeches highlighting the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment. The competition was well received by the audience and appreciated by the organizers.
