The Inter-Class Speech Competition for Standards IX and X was held on 30th July 2026 at 9:00 a.m. in Gulati Hall. The competition was conducted on the theme “Caring for Our Common Home,” which is also the guiding theme of the school for the academic year.
The programme commenced with a welcome address to the principal, judges, teachers, and students. Mrs. J. Aloysius and Mrs. D’Costa were invited as the judges for the competition. As a token of appreciation, the judges were felicitated with potted plants. The competition was divided into two groups, with Group A comprising students of Standard IX and Group B comprising students of Standard X. Each participant was given a minimum of three minutes and a maximum of five minutes to deliver the speech. A single bell indicated the completion of three minutes, while two bells indicated the completion of five minutes.
The participants delivered their speeches with confidence, enthusiasm, and thorough preparation. Their presentations demonstrated their understanding of the theme and highlighted the importance of environmental responsibility and caring for the common home. Following the speeches, the judges shared their observations and words of encouragement with the participants. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the support and contribution of the principal, judges, teachers, non-teaching staff, technical team, participants, and audience.
The competition provided the students with a valuable platform to express their ideas, enhance their public-speaking skills, and develop greater awareness of their responsibility towards the environment. The event concluded successfully with appreciation for the efforts of all those who contributed to its smooth conduct.

The Pre-Primary Section celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The programme began with a warm welcome, followed by inspiring speeches by the young students, who spoke about the importance of freedom and our responsibility as citizens of India. The highlight of the celebration was a series of individual speeches where boys dressed as patriot heroes and solo dance performances, where the little ones confidently presented patriotic dances with great joy and enthusiasm. This was followed by a lively group dance that filled the atmosphere with energy and national pride. The school choir added to the spirit of the occasion by beautifully singing two patriotic songs. The celebrations continued in the classrooms, where children participated in meaningful and creative activities. They enjoyed craft work and colouring activities based on the Independence Day theme. Teachers also engaged the children in simple discussions and activities to help them understand India’s struggle for independence, the importance of freedom, and the significance of Independence Day.
The celebration was a joyful and enriching experience for all the young learners.

St. Vincent’s High School celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour through a week-long series of activities, culminating in the grand celebration.
on 15th August 2026. The school campus was beautifully decorated in the colours of the national flag, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere. In the days leading up to Independence Day, several events were organised to engage students and nurture their talents.
The morning began with the flag hoisting ceremony conducted by the principal, followed by the singing of the National Anthem, which echoed proudly across the campus. A special assembly was then presented by the students, featuring inspiring speeches, melodious patriotic songs, and heartfelt poems dedicated to the nation and its freedom fighters.

St. Vincent’s High School marked the 80th Independence Day with a vibrant week-long celebration filled with patriotic spirit. The festivities featured with Quiz, Prabhat Pheri, Drawing , Chart Making competitions, essay writing .A special assembly with a Vande mataram song was sung for the first time in assembly, along with Jai Jai Maharastra Maaza, inspiring speeches, songs and an energetic Musical Mass PT, sangeet Kavait. Pledge was taken on NASHA MUKT YUVA to make India Drug free Nation. India’s journey to freedom with Parade by NCC cadets with School Brass band was a memorable . The week was a true reflection of creativity, unity, and love for the nation.

The Independence Day celebrations in the Primary Section were held on 14th August 2026 at Fr. Oesch Hall with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The programme commenced
with a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, Fr. Francis Gonsalves, followed by a prayer seeking blessings for our nation. The boys of Std. 4 presented an engaging skit depicting the story of India’s struggle for Independence. This was followed by a colourful fancy dress presentation by the boys of Std. 1 and 2, who portrayed inspiring freedom fighters, including Bhagat Singh, Jawaharlal
Nehru, Mahatma Gandhi and Rani Lakshmibai, among others. The school choir added to the patriotic atmosphere with a melodious rendition of Freedom.
The Chief Guest then addressed the students and highlighted the importance of freedom and their responsibilities as future citizens. The celebration concluded with the National Anthem, leaving everyone filled with pride and gratitude for our country.

St. Vincent’s Night School organized a joyful and engaging “Happy Saturday” activity for its students. The event provided students with an opportunity to relax, interact with one another, and enjoy a variety of fun-filled activities beyond their regular academic routine.

The students enthusiastically participated in games such as Housie, which created an atmosphere of excitement, laughter, and friendly competition. They also expressed their creativity by drawing beautiful pictures, showcasing their imagination and artistic talents.

The Happy Saturday celebration was a wonderful experience for all the students. It helped promote friendship, creativity, teamwork, and happiness among them. The event concluded on a cheerful note, leaving the students with memorable and enjoyable moments.

We are delighted to share the outstanding achievement of the students of St. Vincent’s High School at the Late Mr. Kalmadi District Athletics Meet.

The school’s Under-16 Medley Relay team participated in the competition with great enthusiasm, determination, and team spirit. Demonstrating excellent coordination, speed, and sportsmanship, the team secured an impressive Second Place in the Under-16 Medley Relay event.

This achievement is a testament to the students’ hard work, dedication, and commitment to athletics. We congratulate the entire team and their coaches on this remarkable accomplishment.

We are pleased to share the outstanding achievements of our students in athletics at the Late Madhuri Shirole Meet, held at the Pune University Ground.

Master Jiel Cherian, a student of Std. IX, secured Second Place in the 100m Hurdles event. His impressive performance earned him selection for the State Meet, which is scheduled to be held at Devran.

Master Kaushik Ullapu, a student of Std. VIII, participated in the Triathlon event and displayed excellent determination and sporting spirit. He secured Third Place in the event.

We congratulate both students on their remarkable achievements and wish them continued success in their future competitions. Their accomplishments are a matter of pride for the school and serve as an inspiration to their fellow students.

Our students also brought laurels to the school through their excellent performances in the Medley Relay events. The Under-18 Medley Relay team secured Second and Third Positions, showcasing remarkable teamwork, speed, and coordination. The Under-16 Medley Relay team also performed exceptionally well and secured Third Place.

St. Vincent’s Night School conducted a Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meeting to strengthen the partnership between parents and teachers and to discuss the academic progress and overall development of the students.

The meeting provided an opportunity for parents and teachers to interact and share their views regarding students’ attendance, academic performance, discipline, and participation in school activities.

Teachers highlighted the importance of regular attendance, punctuality, consistent study habits, and active participation in classroom learning.Parents were encouraged to support their children in their studies and maintain regular communication with the teachers. Various suggestions were also discussed to improve students’ academic performance and create a supportive learning environment.The meeting concluded on a positive note with a vote of thanks. The interaction between parents, teachers, and the school administration was constructive and helped strengthen their collective commitment towards the educational and overall development of the students.

St. Vincent’s Night School celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm to promote the importance of physical fitness, mental well-being, and a healthy lifestyle among students and the school community.

The celebration began with an introduction to the significance of Yoga and its role in maintaining a healthy body and peaceful mind. Students actively participated in a guided yoga session, performing various simple yoga postures and breathing exercises under proper guidance.

The students participated with enthusiasm and enjoyed the experience. The celebration successfully created awareness about the benefits of yoga and encouraged everyone to make yoga a part of their daily routine.  The International Yoga Day celebration at St. Vincent’s Night School was a meaningful and enriching activity that reinforced the message that a healthy body and a calm mind are essential for a happy and productive life.
