On 13^th October 2026, the Prefects of Standard XI embarked on a new journey of stewardship and were conferred their Prefect badges for the year 2026-2027. The investiture ceremony was conducted during the morning assembly with solemnity and grandeur.

The Principal, Rev. Fr. Titus, bestowed the Prefect Badges and invested the designated students of classes XI A, XI B and XI C with their respective obligations. The incoming Prefects for this year were Regina Ria Fernandes, Shanaia Nathan, Kim Satralkar, Ruchita Londhe, Valencia Kannan, and Yashita Balgude among the girls’ section and Aditya Jadhav, Shadrach D’Souza, Rylan D’Souza, Siddhant Shroff, Abner Anthony and Harshwardhan Patil among the boys’ section.

The newly appointed Prefects marched onto the stage accompanied by the Prefects of Standard XII, and were entrusted with their badges in the presence of the school and junior college. They undertook the oath to strive for excellence and discipline and exhibited the four Jesuit values of Competence, Conscience, Compassion and Commitment.

The Principal addressed the newly appointed Prefects and the school and emphasised the importance of Service and Humility- the Paramount qualities of a Leader. Thereafter, the Head Boy, Manav Sharma Khandale led the newly appointed Prefects and the Prefects of Standard XII as they marched off the stage with poise and proceeded towards the library. The Installation Ceremony was conducted in a well-coordinated and flawless manner and demonstrated the unwavering dedication of the institute to imbibe the qualities of leadership among the students.

On the occasion of the Feast of St. Vincent de Paul, a colouring competition was organised for the students of the Nursery on 23rd September 2026. Our children learnt about love, kindness and giving through this creative activity. Winners were selected from each division and were awarded certificates. Well done to our little artists!

A Disaster Management and Preparedness Training session was conducted for the students of Classes 9 and 10 on 30th September 2026, during the first, second and third periods in the Gulati Hall. The resource person, Mr. Rajkumar Gaikwad (NMDI, Mumbai)conducted the session in an interactive and engaging manner. Students were encouraged to participate by answering questions, sharing their responses and demonstrating various safety and rescue techniques. Selected students were also called upon to demonstrate methods of carrying and transporting injured or unconscious persons, making the session practical and meaningful.   The training provided students with valuable knowledge and practical skills that helped develop awareness and preparedness to respond effectively during emergency situations.

A CPR Training Programme was conducted for the staff of St. Vincent’s High School on 30th September 2026 at Gulati Hall.

A team of doctors conducted the training and provided detailed guidance on how to respond during cardiac and other medical emergencies. They brought specially designed training models of an adult, child, and infant to demonstrate the correct CPR techniques according to the age group.

The doctors also explained and demonstrated the use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and how it can be used in case of a cardiac emergency. The procedures were demonstrated practically on the training models, making the session informative and easy to understand.

After the demonstrations, several teachers were invited to practise the CPR techniques on the models under the guidance of the doctors. This hands-on practice helped the staff gain confidence and a better understanding of how to respond quickly and effectively in an emergency.

The training was an enriching and valuable experience for all the staff members, equipping them with essential lifesaving skills and preparing them to handle emergencies with greater confidence.

St. Vincent’s Jr. College participated enthusiastically in the Christ College Carnivale ’26 – Crescita. Our students performed exceptionally well and brought great pride to the college by securing prizes in the following events:

1. Council of Chaos – Third Prize

2. Science Wars – First Prize (Cash Prize: ₹3,000)

3. London Rules, Moscow Rules – (Cash Prize: ₹5,000)

4. Magic in Motion – First Prize (Cash Prize: ₹8,000)

We congratulate all the participating students for their outstanding performances and commend their dedication, creativity, and teamwork. Their achievements are a testament to their talent and hard work.

The Pre-Primary Section of St. Vincent’s Pre-Primary School organized a vibrant and exciting Talent Hunt on 29th September, providing our young learners with a wonderful platform to showcase their unique talents and build confidence.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the children, who presented a variety of performances with great excitement and confidence. Dressed in colourful and creative costumes, the little ones showcased their talents through dance, music, acting, role-play and other entertaining performances. Their cheerful expressions and energetic performances filled the venue with joy and enthusiasm.

The Talent Hunt was not only a celebration of talent but also an opportunity for the children to overcome stage fear, express themselves freely and appreciate the talents of their peers. Teachers played an important role in encouraging and guiding the children throughout the event, while parents and staff members enthusiastically supported the young performers.

The participating children were felicitated with certificates in recognition of their efforts and participation. The smiles and pride on their faces made the occasion truly memorable.

The Talent Hunt concluded on a joyful note, leaving everyone with beautiful memories and celebrating the creativity, confidence and individuality of our little stars.

On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, a special assembly was conducted on 1^st October 2026 by the primary students of Std. 2C in the Fr. Oesch Hall. Reflecting on Gandhi’s timeless values of simplicity, truth and cleanliness, the programme highlighted the importance of embracing these principles in our daily lives.

The assembly also drew attention to the Swachh Bharat Mission, launched on 2nd October, which continues to inspire citizens to recognise their civic and moral responsibility towards keeping our common home clean and green. The programme concluded with Gandhiji’s enduring message: “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”

On 28^th September 2026, a special assembly was conducted for the students and staff. The focus of the assembly was to highlight the essence of the life of St. Vincent de Paul, specifically concentrating on his unwavering virtue of charity and service to the poor. The assembly provided an opportunity for everyone to reflect on the life and message of the saint and renew our commitment to the of service in our daily lives. Winners of various competitions held were recognized for their efforts and presented with prizes to encourage their involvement.

A solemn Feast Mass was celebrated at St. Xavier’s Church on 28^th September 2026. The main celebrant for the Mass was Rev. Fr. Agnelo Mascarenhas SJ, who had been appointed Jesuit Provincial of Pune Province in 2020. The central theme of the mass, shared with the entire congregation, was: “The Cry of the Earth is the Cry of the Poor”.  The meaningful participation of the students and staff contributed to making the celebration a memorable and spiritually enriching experience.

Following the spiritual celebration, a community gathering and fellowship meal was held, bringing together all the Priests, current staff, and ex-staff members of St. Vincent’s High School, fostering a strong sense of community and shared mission. The Feast Day was also marked by a significant institutional milestone: the inauguration of two newly constructed and expanded facilities- The Fr. Joseph Brunner Lobby and the recently expanded Nursery. The inauguration ceremony was conducted at the hands of Rev. Fr. Provincial, Agnelo Mascarenhas.
The successful commemoration of the Feast of St. Vincent de Paul and the inauguration of new facilities reinforce the school commitment to both its spiritual values and its dedication to providing excellent educational infrastructure.
