<p>St. Vincent’s High School celebrated <strong>Teacher’s Day on 4th September 2026</strong> with great enthusiasm and warmth. The celebration was organized to express gratitude and appreciation for the invaluable contribution of teachers in shaping the lives and futures of students.</p>
<p><strong>A special assembly conducted by the students</strong>. The assembly reflected the students’ respect and affection for their teachers. As a mark of honour and gratitude, the students  <strong>sang a melodious song dedicated to their teachers</strong>. The performance created a warm and emotional atmosphere and conveyed the students’ heartfelt appreciation.</p>
<p>The <strong>Principal</strong> delivered an inspiring speech. The speech highlighted the important role of teachers in guiding students academically, morally, and socially. The Principal also appreciated the efforts and dedication of the teaching staff and encouraged students to value and respect their teachers.</p>
<p>One of the most enjoyable highlights of the celebration was a <strong>friendly match between the students and the teachers</strong>. The match was played in a cheerful and sporting spirit, providing an opportunity for teachers and students to interact beyond the classroom. The teachers displayed excellent teamwork and emerged as the <strong>winners of the match</strong>.</p>
<p>The celebration continued with <strong>spot prizes</strong>, which added an element of excitement and fun to the occasion. The programme concluded with a <strong>delicious lunch</strong>, The entire celebration was marked by joy, gratitude, and camaraderie.</p>

<p>St. Vincent’s Primary celebrated Teachers’ Day on 4th September 2026, at Fr. Oesch Hall. The celebration was centered around the meaningful theme “Every Root Nurtures, Every Leaf Inspires,” which beautifully reflected the role of teachers in nurturing and inspiring young minds. The boys of Class 3C specially honoured their teachers by presenting a skit and a dance, expressing their gratitude and appreciation through their performances.</p>
<p>Keeping the theme alive, a Tree of Wisdom was displayed on the board. Each teacher, along with the principal, contributed a leaf to the tree, symbolising how every teacher nurtures young minds and inspires them to grow and flourish.</p>
<p>The principal addressed the gathering and expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the efforts and dedication of all the teachers. The celebration concluded with a special felicitation ceremony, where the PTA members presented gifts to all the teachers as a token of gratitude and appreciation. The celebration ended on a warm and memorable note, honouring the invaluable role of teachers in shaping the lives of their students.</p>

<p>A Speech Competition was held on 2nd September 2026 at Fr. Oesch Hall for the students of Std. 3 and 4. The competition provided the students with an opportunity to express their thoughts confidently and develop their public speaking skills.<br />

The topics included “Every Drop of Water is Precious,” “Why We Should Say No to Plastic,” “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle,” “If Trees Could Talk,” and “A Letter from Mother Earth.” The students presented their ideas with confidence, clarity and enthusiasm. The competition was an enriching experience for all the participants. It helped encourage them to express their thoughts effectively while creating awareness about the importance of protecting our environment.</p>

<p>An informative and much-needed awareness session on Child Safety and Substance Abuse was organized for the students of Std. 9 and 10 on 1st September, 2026 at the Indoor Basketball Court in Fr. Oesch Hall. The session was conducted by Ms. Pooja Babar, Lady Police Constable from Damini Pathak – the special women safety squad of Pune Police. The objective of the talk was to sensitize young students about personal safety, responsible behaviour and the dangers of substance abuse.</p>
<p>Ms. Babar addressed the students in a very interactive and child-friendly manner. The key points covered during the talk were:</p>
<p>1. Child Safety:<br />
– Understanding the concept of safe and unsafe touch<br />
– Importance of saying ‘No’, shouting for help and reporting to a trusted adult<br />
– Safety rules at home, school, public places and on the internet<br />
– Introduction to Child Helpline No. 1098 and Damini Helpline No. 112<br />
– Cyber safety – not sharing personal information, photos or passwords with strangers online</p>
<p>2. Substance Abuse:<br />
– What is substance abuse and why children are vulnerable<br />
– Harmful effects of tobacco, alcohol, gutkha and drugs on health, family and studies<br />
– How to identify and resist peer pressure<br />
– Importance of healthy habits, sports and good company</p>
<p>The students listened attentively and participated enthusiastically in the question-answer session that followed. Ms. Babar shared real-life examples and gave practical tips on how to stay alert and seek help from parents, teachers and the police without fear.The talk was highly enlightening and empowered the students with the knowledge to protect themselves and make right choices.</p>

<p class="isSelectedEnd">The school community came together to bid a warm and heartfelt farewell to <strong>Mr. Anil Gulani</strong>, our dedicated peon, on the occasion of his retirement after an impressive <strong>29 years of devoted service</strong> to the institution.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Mr. Gulani began his association with the school as a <strong>bus driver</strong>. Recognising his sincerity, dedication, and commitment, the school later appointed him as a <strong>Zilla Parishad (Z.P.) Peon</strong>, a role in which he continued to serve the school with the same enthusiasm and responsibility.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Throughout his long and valuable service, Mr. Gulani was known for his <strong>good nature, sincerity, and willingness to help others</strong>. His cordial relations with the teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as with students, made him a much-loved and respected member of the school family. His helpful attitude and ever-ready support contributed greatly to the smooth functioning of the school.</p>

<p>National Sports Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and excitement at St. Vincent’s Primary School on 27th and 28th August 2026 to commemorate the birth anniversary of the legendary Indian hockey player Major Dhyan Chand. The celebrations were conducted over two days at Fr. Oesch Hall. The first day welcomed students of Pre-Primary to Std. 2, while the second day included enthusiastic participation of students from Std. 3 to Std. 6. The event featured a wide range of interactive game stalls, such as Hockey, Basketball, Hopscotch, Catch the Baton, Roll the Car, Hand-Eye Coordination, Toss the Ring, and many other engaging activities. Alongside the games, food stalls offering various snacks enhanced the festive atmosphere. The successful two-day event came to a joyful close, leaving the children with wonderful memories of fitness and fun. It stood as a fitting tribute to Major Dhyan Chand, whose extraordinary legacy continues to inspire the passionate young sports stars of our school.</p>
