St. Vincent’s Pre-primary hosted “Roots to Skies”, an orientation program for the parents of Nursery, LKG & UKG on 1^st July 2026 at The Gulati Hall. The guest speaker was Mr. Shirish Sebastian, an international educator and wellness coach. In his interactive session, he stressed that home is the first school for values like patience, wisdom, courage and character. Quoting Khalil Gibran, he reminded parents that children belong to life and not to us. He urged the parents and the school to partner together in nurturing children with both values and technology, and shared tips on nutrition and various parenting aspects as well. The program ended with parent feedback sharing, a vote of thanks, and the National Anthem. Parents left feeling inspired and confident after this special orientation program.

On 2nd July 2026, a special awareness session on Child Safeguarding and Anti-Substance Abuse was conducted for the students of Std. VII and VIII. The session was addressed by Lady Police Constable Mrs. Anita Ganesh Holkar from the Swargate Traffic Police Department and Mrs. Kalghare from Damini Pathak, Lashkar Police Chowky. They educated students about child safety, personal protection, and the harmful effects of drugs, tobacco, alcohol, and other addictive substances. The speakers encouraged students to make responsible choices, report unsafe situations to trusted adults, and seek help whenever needed. The session was informative, interactive, and greatly appreciated by both students and teachers.

The Parent Teacher Orientation of St. Vincent’s Primary School was held on 30th June 2026 in the Gulati Hall. The programme began by welcoming the parents, followed by the Principal’s address, which emphasized the importance of a strong partnership between parents and the school.

Thereafter, the school counsellor, Mrs. Anuja Kulkarni, spoke on nurturing children’s emotional well-being, while the guest speaker, Mr. Shirish Sebastian, in his talk “Roots to Skies,” highlighted the role of parents in building strong values and confidence in their children.

The programme concluded on a positive and enriching note.

St. Vincent’s Nursery opened its doors to a new batch of students on 18th June 2026, marking it the first official day of school for these little ones. The parents were encouraged to accompany their sons for the first few days of school, to make the transition less stressful for them. Their very first day of exploring a whole new environment was filled with mixed emotions. The nursery was beautifully decorated and there were a variety of toys and fun activities for these young students. Few of them enjoyed watching their favourite rhymes on the digital board while others loved their outdoor playtime on the tricycles, slide, sand pit and the trampoline.

An orientation session was organized for the parents of the Nursery students, at the Gulati Hall on 17th June 2026. The program began by invoking God’s blessings with a Hindi bhajan followed by the principal’s address to the parents. Our Principal, Rev. Fr. Titus highlighted the importance of the overall development of the students, emphasizing how school provides the right ‘fuel’ for this growth. He urged the parents to work alongside the school to ensure the children get a holistic learning experience.

The Nursery supervisor Mrs. DeSales introduced the teachers and shared some crucial instructions to be followed by the parents during this academic year. The program ended with an interactive session where several queries from the parents were discussed and addressed.

The teachers’ orientation on June 12^th, 2026 focused on the school theme ‘Caring for Our Common Home,’ inspiring educators to become mindful stewards of the environment and compassionate guides for students. Distinguished guests like Baba Prasad Lanka, Gerry Mascarenhas and John Neelankavil fruitfully explained the policies for a sustainable school. The session reinforced the message that every small action, when guided by awareness and commitment, contributes towards building a greener and more caring world.

A sustainable school envisions a future where learning nurtures responsible citizens who care for the environment, conserve resources, and create a harmonious world for generations to come.

The farewell ceremony for our respected Vice Principal, Father Raja S.J., was conducted with deep admiration and heartfelt gratitude. The event was a reflection of his remarkable journey and the lasting impact he has made on the school community.

In the farewell address, Father Raja’s personality was beautifully described as having “achievements as big as a mountain and a heart as vast as the ocean.” These words perfectly captured both his professional excellence and his compassionate nature. Throughout his tenure, he nurtured the school not merely as an institution, but as a “home,” where every student and staff member felt valued, supported, and inspired.

Under his guidance, the school flourished in academics, discipline, and values. His leadership was marked by dedication, humility, and an unwavering commitment to the holistic development of students. He always led by example, encouraging everyone to strive for excellence while staying grounded in kindness and integrity.

Expressions of gratitude from students and teachers highlighted the profound influence Father Raja has had on their lives. While the school bids him farewell with a heavy heart, it also celebrates the legacy he leaves behind.

Maharashtra Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour in St. Vincent’s High School on 1st May, 2026. The programme was organized to commemorate the formation of the state of Maharashtra and to create an awareness among students, about its rich history and traditions. The celebration began with a special assembly which included the flag hoisting ceremony and the National Anthem, played by the school band. There were informative speeches, prayers and traditional Powada highlighting ,the rich heritage of Maharashtra and the formation of the state in 1960. Some students also dressed in traditional Maharashtrian attire, added colour and authenticity to the programme. The Principal addressed the students and emphasized the importance of preserving the language, culture, and unity of Maharashtra while working towards the development of society. The celebration concluded, leaving everyone with a sense of pride and respect for the state and the nation.
